June 2002 – June 2004
The ClockTower, 1 Main Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn, 11201
Nest Arts presented the DUMBO Bazaar, a free community arts flea market with live music and performance. Over 100 vendors participated and performers included Mesha Kussman, BINGO!, Gloria Deluxe, Jan Larsen, Matty Charles and the Valentines, Black Cat Revolver, Benicio and the Del Toros and FRANK. Visual artist Jeff Sugg did video installations and Combustive Motor Corp’s Jack Warren and Caleb Scott did a 24-hour live/living installation.

Nest Arts hosted the 1st Annual Brooklyn Underground Film Festival in the Nest space at 1 Main Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201. Check out www.brooklynunderground.org for more information.

The Nest, 88 Front Street, DUMBO, Brooklyn, NY 11201

Nest Arts was the founder and executive director of The Nest, a 30,000 SF warehouse space home to resident companies Annie-B Parsons and Paul Lazar’s Big Dance Theater, the Brooklyn Underground Film Festival and the Moonshine Screening Room, Collapsable Giraffe, Cynthia Hopkins and GLORIA DELUXE, Koosil-Ja Hwang and Dance Kumikimoto, the National Theater of the United States of America, Transmission Projects, nest, the Ugly Duckling Presse, and Year Gallery.

Nest Arts created the 16-month rent-free residency program and facilitated the programming of the space.
